| Catherine "Catey" Mitchell - Baker A native Texan... Catey has always loved photography even as a child . She fondly recalls a time when she; as a teenager ; was told by her mother to quit wasting film by taking pictures without people in them . Today many of Catey's photographic talents include wonderful photos of landscapes and scenery , as well as wildlife and even domestic pets. Her career in photography began at the bottom of the rung with a National Portrait Photography Chain in Lubbock Texas ... As an Appointment Consultant . With this job description she learned to schedule the allotted time needed for specific styles of photography sittings. From Catey's position as an Appointment Consultant she slowly moved up the ladder to... Portrait Consultant . With this job description she learned the valuable tool of judging what poses worked the best with each portrait situation , as well as what to look for in a quality photo. After taking a break to raise her family ... Catey once again began her quest for advancement in the field of photography by taking a few Continuing Education classes in Photography that were offered through Texas Tech University . These classes only inspired her further to look for a way to at last become a Professional Photographer. Catey attended the New York Institute of Photography , and received her Certificate of Graduation in Professional Photography on March 26,2007 . After over 20 years in and around the world of Photography she has become a noteworthy Freelance Photographer. |
